So, our street has had no internet for over a week causing consternation and frustration for all including the BT Open Reach guy pulling his hair out over at the exchange - technically there was simply nothing wrong.
Luckily the guy listens to Talk Sport over on 909am, it was on his radio as he drove up our street.
'Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz' goes the radio
Aha! says the the BT guy.
I lend him an old Panasonic radio to walk around with. we all turn our power off at the mains to quieten the street down - its our neighbour...
What could it be that buggers up the internet within a 100 metre radius??
It was a failing Netgear router powersupply. It was sending spurious signals back down the tubes which in turn interrupted the internet signal on our copper wires.
I now have internet...
