YES! fork has landed. and it's in great condition!

glad i was persistent in my search and had some good timing/luck it seems. this will compliment my 96 DeKerf quite nicely with it's silver bomber z2 superfly.

leaning towards the ACs still, which would ruin my RF build. also leaning towards the Real levers. wheels I swapped off the 95 Blizzard. also decided XT m739 Vs better match than the XTR m960 i was originally considering.

thoughts? :?

Lots of Black & Silver Frank (which is always Good!), so kinda makes the Red AC's stand out lots...can't make my mind up if they clash with the Blue decals on the Bombers? Could look alright with the Black RF Rings though? Deffo the Real levers for me...Told you this would be built before me...

PS: Is that an XY RF SeatPost?

yeah, the blue decals are a bit out of place. but there's no way i would be able to get myself to peel them off!

would have been nice if they were white and/or red.

yep, that be an XY0 post (zero layback). i made sure it was included with the sale of the frame.

RF Next LPs go well with the build as i had thought. so i think i'll hold off trying on any blue bits and keep with the current plan. gonna be patient and wait out the delivery of the RF headset. if it's in good shape and i can use it for this build, then it'll be RF all the way.

RF headset and second set of Next cranks have arrived. HS is in good shape so now there's no excuse for not completing this soon except for me finding the time.

all three crank options i think would work with the build. i'll have to try them all once i have everything else put into place.

Black Cranks all the way! What do you think of trying to switch out the blue decals on the Bombers for Red ones?? Think the white Flite works well too...

Gotta go with the white RF Next and black rings. Headset in place, with fork stem and bar. Only things left is chain and cabling.

nearly there. ran out of shifter cable outer, so only managed to cable up the brakes. for now i've locked the front and rear mech with the adjusters and put a chain on to give it a quick shake down.

had to go with a slightly shorter stem as this bike is a tad bigger than what i'd have liked. The long top tube has me quite stretched out compared to any of the other bikes, even compared to my DeKerf. it fits me, but i think i'll need to hunt for one size smaller for comfort sake. :?
