I built up the bike with modern fork and XTR off my Yeti to try it out and it's a fantastic ride.
My intention was to keep the bike for occasional easy,dry riding but it's just to nice for that.
The group set is sold and just the fork and wheels are available.
I will be fitting all new XTR and modern parts and riding the bike regularly as the makers intended.
If the parts were period correct I may have made a different desision but in the circumstances I feel I have done the right thing.
