Late 90's DH bike collection - GT DHi and Intense Tazer FS

2000 GT DHi - need Hope DH4 No6 caliper half or E4/M4 inner half. and some 321/521 rims 1x 36h and 1x 32 hole

2000 Schwinn Straight 8 - chain device ideas. MRP needs modifying to fit...

Chain device - i use a couple of blackspire ds1's which i also found quite modifiable.

Another couple of good quality dh rigs to add to the collection. Very nice to see.

Firstly I would search for the factory chain device, they were really good never heard of anyone droping a chain with one of those. If no luck I'd go modified MRP. A period correct one of course.
I remember seeing a few pro schwinn's and yeti's running them bitd.

Have to ask, are they ebay finds? they look in amazing nic.

Very jealous indeed, I want a dhi so bad but I'll finish mine before I start looking, others on the wish list schwinn or yeti straight 8, be one dh when bas de bever was riding, the list goes on I'll get them one day!

The chain device is a bit of a tough one as when I bought the frame I knew it didn't have the specific chain device to suit it. I think trying to get one will be near on impossible and I'll have to improvise. I'd looked through my Dirt magazines and seen them run with MRP's but the back plate would need to be notched to fit around the chain stay pivot. I've no qualms over doing it but wondered if anyone could shed some light on it.

At the mo I've only got a period "slalom" (36-40) sized and might look a bit small. Need "world cup" really to fit the XTR cranks I've got.

Yes the majority are eBay/classified finds. The DHi I've owned for 3+ years and done nothing with it. The condition of these isn't as good as the others photo'd but very good for the age and type of bike they are.

You didnkt get any spare shocks with the schwinn, working or not did you? I'm in need of one....,

No I didn't I'm afraid. Is it to fit your Lobo in your Sig? These are larger than the lobo ones, don't know if it'd fit.
