Hahaha....it really is just chucked together - I had collected a load of bits for the project over the last few months so it was all ready to bolt together. I just wanted to see how well the yellow/blue combo worked.

Quick PS edit of my original image to get an idea on how good the yellow vinyl graphics will look......I reckon (if I can get a good match) yellow cable outers would finish it off a treat too.

That looks great Mart!

The colours go well together, and it all just seems to fit. Let me know what you are doing with the muirwoods frame!

Nice one! I'd worked it out a bit earlier with the previous fruit and nut reference.....it was the little piece of info I needed to go off and google him.

Received a couple of Marin Pro-Combo tyres yesterday (cheers Hamster!). In my furious cleaning I managed to trash the logos (doh!) but they've scrubbed up quite well - there is a little bit of sidewall perishing (in a criss-cross type of shape) but other than that they are great. Presumably they'll still be fine for a bit of light use?

Now thinking I need black seat-post, black cranks and black handle bars....

I love these classic Marin bikes. Great colours and solid builds. Thedid y not look so good in later years.

Good luck with the build.
