Sitting bored at work so I though I would do a little online pricing for a few bits I need. Nothing high end, but not bottom end either.

SRAM PG850 cassette
SRAM PC850 chain to go with it
Gear cable set.

So far total price at CRC £44. Pretty good I thought, I'll see what Evans want for the same kit.

£67!!!

Mainly made up of wanting £35 for the cassette, the same one CRC do for £22.

Wiggle? £68!!!

LBS £85!!!
When did middle of the road cassettes become so expensive?

Used CRC a lot and have never had a problem......
Did make me laugh the other day though, ordered a set of anodised rotor bolts and they came in a stupidly oversize box.

Lol at Kona-Ian, exact same as myself a couple weeks back! They're not red bolts are they?

I've found Merlin to be cheapest for a good number of things, but CRC appear next best.

I too would like to support my LBS. However, I can't afford it :?

I needed a set of middleburn rings (5 bolt, compact drive.)

One shop told me Middleburn do not make them any more, the other two quoted me around the £100 mark.

Got them from CRC for £55. Nearly half the price.

I have little disposible income to spend each month, so I have to shop online.

Correct, good guess.

What's so bad about CRC?? :?

Nothing really, but I'd rather support a local shop than a Tesco like online shop.

To be fair we haven't got a well stocked bike shop here.

Evens & Co have 'price match' tell them what CRC price is and should match it
