Dave Lloyd Beez Kneez [new pics page 5]

I only put the Maguras on last night at midnight because it was so much easier to put them on and set up than canti's. Also my brake levers need some tinkering before I can use them.

But they may stay on. I like good brakes, and 987's are not good brakes!

I could modify the maggies to make them look more period and match the frame.

I fitted scott pads to the 987s on my GT - they are now classed as 'reasonable'!

If you're going to keep the maguras then love them for what they are and leave them be.

How did it ride BTW - a lot different from the RM?

I would never have thought about puttin mags on it, but i dont see why i wouldnt..., it reminds me if this........

And I won joint "Bike Of The Ride" too. :-D :-D

Nice one :D

More honours for the BN

Will the spec 'evolve' do you think?

Cheers

I think some Middleburn cranks would be really nice with red and blue rings.
Lighter wheels would be nice but I'd prefer to have them errr on the side of stength so they are reliable.
Need a better front mech. This one is a bodge really.
I'd love to put some wider bars on it as I think it's a bike which responds well to a bit of rough handling but the flat low bars don't help this.
It's hard to tell how it handled as I realised the tyres were pumped up way too hard and I only found this out at the end of the ride.
