Early Bomber brake pivot bolt replacement

On my 2001 Z1 Drop offs the bolt holds the lowers onto the arch, i use discs so i dont need the huge sticky out bits of v brake mount.

Now as far as i can tell the official replacement bolts are no longer available, which is fine as they seam vastly over priced!

Am i right in thinking they are just plain M6 x 20 shoulder bolts ?

fraid not, at least not on the several sets I've had, the thread is a much finer pitch.

I've not managed to source any that fit so normally end up sawing the post off and leaving just the hex bit as a nut, not ideal but better than poky-outy-posty-ness

..... I thought they were M6 with standard thread, now you've got me curious so I will check and post later ....../

it's entirely possible that some models were a standard M6 thread...

I've had about 4-5 sets over the years with the two-piece M-arch lowers and all have been a finer pitch thread. Maybe they changed it later on, weould certainly ahve been easier if it was standard thread!

My back up plan was to cut the ends off as suggested anyway!

Interesting to hear about the fine pitch threads, it would explain why/how the official replacements were able to be overpriced.
