Hi I have joined this site for advice as my partner wants to sell his 70 s holdsworth racer which he has had for 16 years and kept in garage. We are not sure what price to ask for it as we have had a few quotes from bike shops from 50- 300 and don't want to miss out. It is in fair condition 10 speed. Any comments are much appreciated

try the 'what's it worth' section (sticky). And put up photos - one man's good condition is another man's wreck.

A picture is worth a thousand words

Also, have a close look, make a note of the make of derailleurs, chainset, brakes etc. See if there's a model name on the frame or any Reynolds decals.

Without some info it could well be worth between £50 and £300
