The order has already gone in for special orders. Extras are being made so best if you contact John (the Guv'nor) and ask him to put some aside for you.

What's the plan? A few of us have lights and are experienced (K)night Riders so perhaps we should volunteer ourselves for the dark laps so the rest of the team can catch up on their beauty sleep (some of you need it). This will leave them refreshed and eager to crack on when it gets light again. Lights will be needed to be fiited to bikes riden between 8pm and 5am.

Looking for inspiration for the team introductions so if any of you want to admit to embarassing personal facts let me know. Unless you want me to make some up for you?

Hi all!

Sorry, but it looks like I will be replacing the big cheese himself in the 10-man team. Hope this OK! If it helps, I did live near Stowmarket for 3 years?

I have lights and ridden way too many laps around MM. In the dark. In the rain. In hell. So happy to do a night lap too, no problem.
Have been to every RB MM event so far, rode the first one with Jeffy, Guvnor and Chris. That was tough!! Great to see so many there this year, looks like biggest yet!

I will be bringing a Fat 10th Anni, and something else for when it rains. Not sure what yet as the Buck is missing a canti stud, and just trashed the mech and bent the hanger on my RM Altitude at the last North Downs ride, doh! Might try and get the Hei Hei up in time..

Are there any team bonding sessions??

Trentham Gardens 1998 - me and Jango were there! More like a 24hr uphill bike pushing race.

Trentham Gardens, Stoke, was not helped by the weather. A precipitous course with some nice singletrack. Then it moved onto Sandwell Valley in Brum which was a great course but a bit too urban which meant many bikes disappeared. It was like a war zone with the outer fringes of the camping area being attacked during the night. Junkies and doggers in the woods made it interesting.

I remember Trentham Gardens, that's what put me onto Gore-tex cables, half way round the first lap I had no gears and a rear handbrake.......the gloop got into everything!

I am going down to meet up with JB666 on Wednesday afternoon. Will try to update if I can on any campsite news. All depends on the 3G signal at the location.
