497 canadian dollars !!

Any particular reason you want it. There were several copies in our medical library in manchester and I guess if you have a friend at Uni they could get a copy for you to read......

I tried to read it but it's a bit like Tolkein's Rings LOL

Shaun

Hi Shaun

I am interested in how we are becoming a nation of obese people and how this could be attributed to our high sugar diets and the fact that fat is always considered a bad thing to eat....low fat this, low fat that etc

Hard read eh...I will let my woman ( far more clever than me and research is her thing) read it :D

We are now on a waiting list at our local library

Cheers

Carl

Hi Carl

I guess you saw the program on the telly earlier this week about this very subject ?

Sugar and it's rise is of interest to our profession. If you are bored google Tristan de Cunha and dental decay or the Wipperholm study LOL

Hi Shaun...yes, the program was very interesting. I am on Atkins at the moment and has really focused my attention on all foods with high sugar content.

I will have a look at your suggestions, thanks!

Carl

Suggestions simply relate to the link between sugar and dental decay, which is sort of interesting to me as it's related to my job.

By Atkins I guess you mean the diet?

The documentary Food Inc. may be of some interest to you. Not strictly about sugar, but about what drives production and consumption. Very good documentary.

Also just found this while looking for the book you want.

Fructose: Is it bad for for our health?

http://www.pbrc.edu/pdf/bray-final-paper-080508.pdf

And yet another edit. Do you have an iPad or eReader? If so I have the book in PDF format.

Great, thanks. I will see if I can find that documentary. I will read the paper tonight.
