June 2012 rBoTM - Nominations Please

I've just restored the Battaglin that Stephen Roche rode at the world champs in 1987...the bike belongs to Stephen, and he will be using it for various functions this year to celebrate his 25th anniversary of winning the triple crown.

So the question is, can I enter it into rbotm?

If that doesn't work, I think it would be cool to enter on Stephen's behalf.

Given it's a slow month, here's my girlfriends new ride. It's a one off Charlie Roberts build, built for one of his friends in the 60s who worked for Holdsworth (this is the story from the guy we got it from, who we've no reason to disbelieve).

We've not done anything to it since we collected it, as it was all original parts, although it could do with a bit of spit and polish and get it looking really smart. I've never seen a mixte frame like it and it's got lovely lug work. Given it's over 40 years old, it's also in remarkable condition.

Thought I'd post it here as it's an interesting piece of history. When we do it up a bit, will post some more pics on a separate thread.

My 1970s Holdsworth Cyclone. Had done only around 60 miles when I
bought it a month ago and is in shiny new condition. Upgraded almost
everything on it to period parts like Campy chainset and gears and
Brooks saddle and tape.

Reynolds 531 frame
Campagnolo Nuovo Record Derrailleur
Campagnolo Nuovo Record Chainset - single
Campagnolo - pump holder, gear lever
Weinnemann Brakes
Brooks Swift Saddle
Brooks bar tape
Everything else is as original with the original tyres and cyclometer it came with back in 1975
