So the next obvious question to laurie18...what's on the cards for the bike ?

I will sort out an appropriate saddle and get the bike properly cleaned before posting some decent photos. I guess it will probably be for sale at some point as I do not have the space to store bikes in the house. In light of the information provided about the bike I would like it to remain complete rather than stripped for parts, that was my intention when I bought it but I felt it was too good and original spec.

For those who have asked here are a few photos of the bike since my Brother has spent quite a bit of time cleaning it up. It's not perfect but for it's age it is incredibly nice, the photos don't do the paintwork justice, orange very vibrant in natural light.
