Cannondale CAAD 3

Retro Guru
My one and half build project.
Frame was built in 1999 (i believe) and never was mounted. Full campagnolo record 10 speed groupset except brakes which are cannondale C1 carbon with rolf sestriere wheelset. It had a giant mike burrows wheelset but too heavy. Like it is (2 photo) 7950 grams but still heavy. Seat post will loose some grams (home tunning yokes), new saddle on the way and cinelli integralter will go out. Fork was short so i had to make an internal adaptor to stretch 35 mm the fork.

Hope you like it.

Looks nice in yellow. I haven't got round to weighing mine yet but sub 8kg is pretty good.

Thanks!

My goal is 7.5 and i think that it is possible.

Upgrades are on the way.

- home made tuning seatpost
- 140 g saddle
- carbon stem
- light handlebar

Finally done!

7.6 Kg or 16.7 lbs for now but still trying to find something to make it under 7.5

Better photos tomorrow

Thanks!

I was thinking change wheels for a set of campagnolo Zonda but they are a litle heavier than this rolf. On other side they look great!

In the end the zond wheels came and rolf went away. Stays in same weight.

Not it just miss a campy record modern crankset.

Very nice Cannondale

Talking of your bike being lightish! my 1983 Motobecane weighs just 6.4kg[14.08lbs] and no carbon ;)
