Big fan of Sram suff here - I changed over as soon as they bought out triggers (although I did work in a shop at the time and got an exceptional deal from the Sram rep.....good move on his part though as a few of us thought they were great and recommended / sold loads as a result).
I am running 1x10 on my SX Trail and have been able to ride up most things (will power / interest depending).
I like the clunky, thumb only nature of Sram stuff and the 1:1 cable actuation is great in this country because it deal with dirt better.
