Devout Dirtbag
hi guys as some may know tge rear wheel on tge condercone was squashed so i bought a used wheel but iys a 8 speed free hub and i need. a new cassettw bug which one do i buy. ?

pg830 is lower down in the the pecking order is all, its the ratios which detrmine whether it is more suited to road bikes or mtb.

30% of at halfords doesnt sound much especially knowing what halfrauds prices start at.

crc have 49% of the pg850

and this guy on ebay has em even cheaper.

I always go for a new pg850 over the used xt cassettes you get on here.

the sram cassette is also considerably lighter, although admittedly not of the same quality in terms of longevity

i bought tge 830 11-32 @ halfords for 14.99 but coild take it back

also when i fitted only 7 of tge gear rings fitted not all 8

The 8th seems to hang over a bit, then you screw the lockring in. It fits if you can screw the lockring on.

Also a picture of the freehub body you are fitting it to just to check nothing silly is going on. like a 7 speed spacer added or it's actually a 7speed.

nevere used an 830, i imagine its decent enough, but would weight quite a bit more than the 850.

fo a few quid more i would get the pg850
