help with old raleigh i think

Retro Newbie
just picked a retro racer but im trying to find out what it is

it has a few stickers on it reynolds 501 tubing , made in great britain on the rear stays and shimano down the seat down tube

Am i right in saying late 80's raleigh ??
 
have a look on hubs as they normally have the last 2 digis from year of make so these should give you arough idea
 
raleigh EQUIPE i had as a kid was silvery grey and white
white at the back silvergrey at the front with a little yellow in beetween
