Sun's out! That means Näked Bike Ride season. :D

Basically if you haven't seen the Facebook campaigns it's a "fun" protest about Fuel (cost and the pollution associated with it) cyclist vulnerability on the roads and just generally being green and getting down with nature 8)

Before you start to panic, näkedness is not compulsory. Underwear or even shorts are acceptable but you'll be in the minority if you wimp out. lol
I remember being behind a girl who steadily got more näked as we went round the circuit last year because she felt left out... well done that girl.
Face painting your whole body is also quite popular. The local coffee shop turns into a body shop and will help you do the bits you can't reach before the ride. Floral designs, animals or just down-right daft messages... Whatever you fancy, they'll paint it!

Location-wise there are at least 4 that I'm aware of. On different dates.
I'm only up to speed with the Southampton one because that's my patch, but Portsmouth, Brighton and London should be easy to find on Facebook too.

It's not a race. More of a cruise. I think it was something like a 4 mile loop and it is a very slow pace.

Afterwards we usually (get dressed) go to the pub with your new friends.

I went last year and it was a laugh.

So, who fancies it?

It is a difficult ride in that respect, but there was only 1 pile up last year.
