Just watched this excellent Belgian documentary on the life and times of Tom Simpson. It features film of his exploits and interviews with stars of the period and his wife Helen. Spoken languages range from Italian, French, Dutch and English with Flemish sub-titles - so something for everyone!

Over 50 minutes of pure nostalgia.

Thanks for posting this... Tom Simpson has to be one of the most compelling riders ever - the tragedy adds to the legend but there's so much more to him than the Ventoux.

I wonder if he had focused on one day races if he would have ended up more like someone like Rik van Looy or Roger de Vlaeminck.
