not sure if this is the right place , and not wishing to be negative or grumbly however...

just thought I'd give you a 'heads up' on facilities provided ( promised! ) at the CFC event in Stratford on Avon this past Sunday.

The website promised 'hot and cold food and drinks', 'support mechanics', ' marshalls throughout the course' and 'a free BBQ for participants'

The feeding stations 100k and 100 miles on a VERY hot Sunday over a tough Cotswold course were scantily supplied with flapjacks, custard cremes, crisps and sweets, after 10 o'clock the first feeding station had no food... the second feeding station was only a little better and no hot food or drinks were available.
At the finish there were no people to welcome competitors, not even bottled water; the BBQ was a queue in a tent for 1 burger...

Our crew had a great ride but felt the advertised support was a joke, Oh, and I only saw 2 marshalls all day and none at major road crossings.
Action Medical Research are superb by comparison, splendid support and feeds, loads of marshalls and visible mechanical support vehicles.

any thoughts?

For someone looking to have a first go at something similar by the end of the summer it sounds pretty rubbish?

How much was the entry? :?
