How do all,

I've just recently aquired a lovely Peugeot Grand Prix 501 from a fellow forum member and am trying to find out a little about the Biorythm chain rings. They're o-symetrical for those that don't know, but that's about all the info I have!

I'm yet to find any further info using the search feature and Google.

Does anyone know anything about these rings? I've been riding them for 2 weeks now putting I'd say between 10 and 15 miles per day and to be honest I can't tell the difference between them and standard rings...

Shimano had the similar Biopace rings, as I remember the idea was that that oval ring and the way it was positioned in relation to the crank arm meant that you generated more force on the down stroke and it was supposed to help up hills.

The theory, physics and mathematics all sounded good, in practice I don't think anyone noticed any difference.

something similar is in use in the pro peloton today. Wiggo uses something like that, not sure of the brand name.
