Concorde Gavina (Columbus SL) - late 80´s.

Recently acquired this Concorde Gavina frame, made in Italy by Ciocc. It is in mint condition, I´ve fitted it with a Shimano 500 EX groupset. It rides superbly, it is very light and it will be my daily ride (I also have a late 70´s Bottecchia that I do take out sometimes). Wheels have FIR rims with Shimano hubs and Schwalbe folding tyres. The bike as a Shimano 600 AX seatpost with a cool Selle Italia Titanium Flite saddle and a 3T cockpit.

Loving it.

Thanks for the kind comments. I also love the paint scheme, and the bike handles really well, I am a big fan of Columbus steel. In the future I am thinking in changing the wheels (black or antracite rims) for the sake of looks and weight.

Very nice. I always used to look longingly at the Concordes on display in the bike shop I frequented a long time ago. Alas, they were always out of my price range

Is the brand still around?

beautiful, would be even nicer with the blue/grey Shimano 600 tricolour groupset which can be found fairly cheap-ish.
