Here's a pic of my 2010 Avanti K.I.S.S. 26 with M970/975 gruppo. Sub 10 kilo weapon:

& here it is after i've gone & knackered it by adding an Alfine rear hub & downgrading the groupset (required bits for upcoming modern Ti build...). Now it's 12.8kg!

Somewhat gutted with my 'efforts'...
 
That Alfine rear wheel is awful. Really ruins the bike. :(

Tell you what, I'll take it off your hands and I'll even pay the postage for you. Can't say fairer than that. ;)





In all seriousness though, I am also interested to hear your thoughts on the Alfine rear end as I am thinking of going that way on a build myself. :)
 
yeah, I really like the look if this. Ive had the same thought's about my trek 69'er . its currently and ss but when the wheel dies I'm condidering an alfine build.
 
Hmm I feel you recently removed my Rohloff from my D-Jab as I missed the noise and lightness of it as a singlespeed with the hope trials hub. Planning on getting a reasonable steel frame for the Rohloff so the weight change is not so noticeable!
