Whats the best way to pack a steel bead tyre for posting

If it's a retro tyre (i.e - getting on a bit) I'd leave it flat and bung it in a box. You can courier it for £3.99 this way, if it's under 1kg..

I've always used 2 bin liners and lots of brown packing tape.
The method has not failed me yet

The tyre i'm posting is Pre 1998 but i put it in general & off topic 'cos its a thread about posting & not about bikes

I'd go with that, with string holding it together. Then wrapped in a bin liner. Job done

It can mishape the bead slightly sometimes but fine when mounted. ame as with hanging them at the shop and what not, the bead can kink.
