'79 Condor Restored

Here are a few more photos demonstrating the SR Rear Derailleur on the 30 tooth sprocket and the 42T chainring.

Also, a shot from the rear of the seat stays.

Thanks for the photos, surprised by the 30t fit but it's a bit stretched on 52/30 isn't it. However, I doubt that you would use that. What about 42/12? Doesn't the chain sag a bit?

I ask all this because I have a SR mech on my Flandria replica and had difficulty in getting wide ratios to work efficiently.

Sure thing, I'll try and get round to it later this week. I no longer have a digital camera of my own so I will have to borrow a friend's...
 
Here is the 12-42T combination. No appreciable sag. I think the key is chain length. When it's in the 30-52T combination (which shouldn't really be used), there are ZERO extra links; in other words, the chain is the minimum length possible.
