Overburys

Still got one of those old Bristol frames in my shed. Built by a fella who always wore orange for religous reasons.

Can remember his name. But built it too my spec.

Looking forward to seeing it built back up with that fresh paint and shiny parts! Is the paint another graphicshack job? Looks good.

I had a feeling you would stick to this colour, that advert with the oranges is just an icon!

The seatpost has arrived at long last, but the handlebars have not....

So as i still havent got everything i need, im going to go and buy a crate of Oranges from a mate in the market..

I'm so chuffed you decided to respray it the same colour - looks fantastic.

I have to say the enjoyment in restoring old parts is one of the best things about doing up an old bike. Carefully polishing, repainting, bending, tweaking to make a component people think is then NOS is so satisfying!

I did a lot of that on my Tequesta and I really enjoyed it.

I'm not a fan of the colour BUT given the bike there was little other choice to be had. It's the right colour for the bike and as usual sin you've seen it done right.

Im pleased with how its turning out.

And in regards to bringing the old stuff back to life, untill i came to this site as a member, i didnt even know what NOS ment (truth). when i saw new stuff on ebay it use to boggle my mind why people pay it, i understand better now, and some times needs must, but for as much as polishing and fixing can be a royal pain, the end results like you say are sooooooooooo satisfying.

Thanks mate.
