1989 StumpJumper Team - All Done!

Massive progress

So this is my first go at painting a bike (properly with laquer and decals and so forth)

And I figured if I was going to paint it, I would make it a little different

So I took some liberties made up my own colourway and sweet talked the mighty gil_m into doing the decals accordingly, which are amazing and gorgeous!

So here's the bike all base coated and flatted back ready for decals:

- I had had these decals kicking around for a long time and I think that gave me some unexpected challenges

One of them had got a bit contaminated with something:

And the gold really wanted to cling to the backing in preference to the application tape:

Scary stuff never worked with decals before... Got away with it though, starting to look pretty cool too

Here she is all clearcoated up:

And the forks:

Oh man am I pleased with my work today

And about time too ;) .

This section hasn't been the same without your builds and tips fella.

The frame and forks look great, nice finish and a really good choice of colours.

Excellent work there Hydorah

You must have the patience of a saint ! The detail is stunning , especially the black and gold
