1996 Yeti Sherpa

Thanks mate, I got a little carried away with the FRO...

Seem to be making the same mistake with the ARC

Yeah I should probably start a build thread for it, though sourcing a 36h 3DV Ringle front hub is probably going to slow the process down

Two differences I know about:
1. Sherpa rear end: 2 pieces, PRO FRO rear: 1 piece
2. Canti cable holder on the the frame are different.

But I don't know about about the geometry or any other differences. Anyone?

How the Hell did I miss this thread

Came across it completly by accident when looking for info on Sherpa's
as I confused the one I've been offered with a Yak, which has the extra
mounts ala Silverfish's latest build

What a cracking build :D

Accutrax would've been my first choice, but the frame is already suspension corrected. I needed 410-420mm forks.

Doesn't look it? forks look pretty long. In 1996 surely suspension corrected would have been for a ~395-405mm fork?

Anyway, Nicely understated, frame speaks for itself rather than battling the 3DV and CNC for attention.

Re: Here is my Yeti Sherpa

Here is my tank. I'v been riding it since mid 90's and it is steel going strong. Racing it this weekend as a matter-of-fact. Love love love my Yeti...it's been with me through hell and back.
