Right, finally finished one of my Proflexes. Unashamedly a rider, I decided to leave the paint exactly as I bought it; a nice blue to grey fade (originally red). Some nice gear on it notwithstanding and I'm looking forward to giving it a thrash next weekend.

Here we are anyway:

I've just bought an 856 frame and forks myself, seems to be in nice original condition, loving the lockout feature on front and rear suspension, can't seem to turn it off though haha, pesky elastomers, seemed like a good idea back in the day!!!! Needs some of those gold cable ferrules as well, bet they aren't an easy find, cross links looking good on yours, far better than the elastomer equipped forks.

:D

just loving this 1997 section tonight

what a proflex, well done. Would love to see some muddy pics now.

Your wish is my command. Nice early evening blat; came back rather dirty and very wet with deep Cheshire mud followed by a couple of water splashes. I suppose it cleaned things up a little bit. No time to clean properly tonight so it got a quick chain bath and relube ready for tomorrow as I've decided to try the commute with it.

Good times :D
