Would love some Z-max myself, any idea what width get through the U-brake okay?

My '91 has a 2.1 Megabite.

Cool bike Steve. The grips come up on eBay every now and then - keep an eye out.

I have a 18" one like this but some muppet has 'modified' it to take cantis at the rear  I am practising applying 'midnight' aurora with model paint and a sponge before I get the cantis switched back..... not entirely successful at the moment!

thats awesome! look at the finish, wow, amazing for its age. i reckon the handling would not bee too flash with the stem that low either, the front end would flop over in the tight stuff.

have to see if you can track down some nice old A'ME waffle triangle grips for it, they would be a nice match.

racer-x had a pair for sale recently, the original GT version A'Me grips, shoot him a PM!

congrats! very nice pick up indeed

I like that and I think I have the grips you need as well. PM me and I'll ping you across the pics.

Carl.

Now with Amberwalls (and a more upright riding position, courtesy of the Flip-flop stem - - - - WHAT a difference..
