thought i'd post a picture of my stiffee :D

this started as a frame swap for my 2008 marin rocky ridge.
i loved that style of bike, but wanted something a little higher end.
it has slowly evolved since.

nothing like riding a long travel hard tail at trail centres, eating full sussers on downhill sections!!

2009 Cove Stiffee. 17.5 inch in red

XT/sram mix

Im thinking about a colour change, from red to yellow.

That's a good looking bike. I've always really liked these although you don't see as many about as you used to.

I nearly bought one. It was a toss up between the Chameleon or one of these and the Chameleon won (just). Blatting about on hardtails and beating people on bouncy bikes used to be great.

Is it the original paint? If so it seems to have held up well as Cove paint doesn't have the best rep.

yeah still the original paint. it does have a hard life so it has held up really well.

this is the one bike i use more than anything else i own.

its 100% perfect for the way i ride. fast and aggressive, and dare say a bit ragged sometimes!

yep, overtaking full sussers downhill at trail centres is a favorite past time of ours :)

Good lad...although I'm now on a full bouncer. Luckily I can still hold my own on it...although the best bit in my SX is overtaking people on XC bikes up the hills despite being a 1 x 10 set up and weighing a healthy 32lbs.

Your Cove would look nice in lime green I reckon.

when i bought the cove it was a toss up between the red and a green one.
i already have a green santa cruz bullit, so went with the red for a change.

i dunno, might just stick with the red, as its holding up well.

i do like the SX's.

i was looking at one once upon a time. not sure what happened though!!

i think the SX was one of the first true 'do it all bikes'.

great machines.
