Nice pictures and write ups, did the you get the punctures in the Charge tyres? found them quite resilient so far.

Yes mine was in a Charge - no obvious reason for it - no sign of anything puncturing the carcass or any hard hits that could have caused a pinch puncture. To be honest I was dreading a flat as the tyres (1.8s) were a complete bitch to get onto the rm14 rims!!

It was great to see so many retro bikes out there. I was out there as usual GT spotting. I spotted 2 other Zaskars as well as the Xizang!

Hi Bloodfire, great to meet you - I was on the Xizang - this photo from Sussex Photography was taken while we were talking GT:

Check out the chap falling off in the background! Would love to see the same pic of you to see if we can work out what happened!!

Well, finally feel able to write down a few thoughts post yet another HONC. Not sure as this ride ever gets any easier - thinking about the 100k course don't recall anything especially challenging and to be honest the going was good. However after the rolling section around 45 miles I was well and truly spent. The last few miles after the Syreford descent dragged a little, especially knowing what was to come over Cleeve Hill. This picture on sussex sports sums things up > http://gallery.sussexsportphotography.c ... d=18196885

Still great ride and sure I'll be back next year. Good to catch up with many and see such a big retrobike turnout.

Wonder how many do the 50k vs the 100k?
