Every bike has a story: the immediate neighbours at our weekend house,an elderly pair bought this as new in Austria. In the last almost 20 years the cycle remained practically unused -I'm quite sure it has runned only several miles.
Wearing only few minor scratches and tiny bites of superficial corrosion the overall condition is excellent -this is a very solid one. A couple of years ago I was asked to perform a check-up and a thorough greasing and to replace the original bar (that is an ultralight alu ITM Scorpion, which I use on one of my bikes since then).
As the owners became so old, that they are surely not able to ride a bike, the device was sold me at a very reasonable price.
Main spec: unmarked "German quality cro-moly steel" tubing, Shimano STX gears /derailleurs,crankset,shifters and brakes,STX Parallax hubs,Mavic alu-rims,no-name headset and seatpost,Kalloy alu-bar.
The bike is going to start a new life and will reside in our weekend"resort"...

very nice nick - almost as shiny as new :D

love the decals - wished on my Winora they would have been as good ;)

My wife and the girls in my family like this bike not only for how it looks, but also for how it rides -quite a massive construction built of "good old" German steel
By the way: Winora-Staiger (maybe these names/this company well-known only in continental Europe) runs a great assembling-plant here in Hungary, 80 miles from my place. Certain bikes under the name of Mercedes-Benz,BMW,Honda and even Edi Merckx were tailored in Szolnok-Tószeg factory
