Kona Hahanna rebuild, finished

I think your son would benefit from a shorter stem he looks stretched out, some trimmed down riser bars would make the bike more fun too, every kid loves trying to wheelie!

Awesome bike all the same, I love the simplicity and honesty of Hahannas.

it's a 14".

from now I turned the stem up side down, and it's all ready better, but I'm searching for some retro thing that's shorter, like 50 or 60 mm.

the crank would also be replaced by a retro deore LX with 170mm

if it's 1 1/8 steerer then you can pick up a truvativ hussefelt / holzfeller stem on ebay for less than a tenner - i got lucky and got my lad's for 5!

these are std fit on the mid 2000's stuff / cowan etc kona's

a Ritchey WCS in wet black would look the dog's but the smallest is about 70mm and they is pricey

lovely bike BTW i've done similar meself (but have lots of lads and hence need lots of bikes  )

Love the colour and look of the bike, really neat. Very nice job indeed and that's one happy kid :)

That is soooo cool - he is one lucky lad
