Yeah history is pretty hard to value, if I was a rich man I would be all over it.
 
Here is one of the little details in the build of this bike. You have to fabricate little shims with a hole in the middle of them, then slide them up the cable and wrap them around the barrel end in order to keep the proper fit in the Magura Levers- which I did out of brass sheet- just like BITD!

I love that on loads of levels: partly the ingunity and skill required and partly that it's one of those things that someone who hasn't grown up with those bikes wouldn't know. Lovely. Really enjoying the stuff you post pat - very often the highlight of an otherwise cloudy English day. Keep it up. :)
