1992 Orange Prestige

Thanks, guys :D

Had a bit of an update on this bike recently, thought I'd pop up some latest pics...

I've SORN'd the bike and declared it off-road now! Picked up a pair of Manitou 2's locally for 40quid and that really prompted me to ditch the commuter spec. "We are Stevo" saved my life with a longer steerer as well - cheers, matey!

As boy"o"boy rightly pointed out, the stem needed changing - ishaw to the rescue with a nice ControlTech! Next came the Answer Hyperlite's, ODI Attacks, XT M-735 rear mech (as pointed out by brocklanders - more period correct now!), Flite ti, DX hubs, SRAM PC870 chain, x-lite seat bolt and a very threadbare pair of Maxxis skinwalls (I'll change them soon fear not...!) with fatter Continental tubes too

Much more comfortable to ride now compared to the first set of pics as you can probably imagine :D

Why oh why oh why did I sell this?

because you're a fool.
you couldn't prise my prestige from my cold dead hands. (not the one in my sig, the one i'm in the process of rebuilding.)

A bit of bumpety-bump on this bike as I can now say its "totally finished!" (I think.... :D )

New additions:

1) Pace RC-35's (just refurbished by Tim, planned on putting them on my P7 but going rigid for that one....)

2) Mavic 231CD wheelset with Deore DX hubs (bought off "southcoastretro", cheers fella..) to replace the mis-matched Mavic 231 and 237 rims that were on before.

3) Surly middle ring to replace the knackered previous Shimano one

4) Ritchey Alfa & Omega Bite tyres, taken off my Alu 'O'

5) Flite Ti Alpes added, to replace the worn Flite that was there previously (again, taken off my 'O')

6) Shimano XT shark fin added
