1997 Specialized Hardrock AX - Mountain Mayhem build!

very tidy! I'm impressed

I'm umming and aahhing about servicing my bombers..jsut how hard is it, bearing in mind i've never done it before, and am usually a bit useless at these things?

Thank you :)

I've got some service guides for older bombers. Let me know what model you have and I'll send you a copy of the guide. Really easy to do, though. Just need some 7.5wt oil and a couple of normal tools.

cool. I've got the manual i think, but i won't say no to more info (the more the merrier!) I'll drop you a PM with an email addy on it.

That was one of the things making me worried, whether i'd have the right tools or not (the other thing being my ineptitude!)

Service guide sent :)

Forks serviced and ready to fit:

Think a lot of its in the prep. Get things smith to start and then take your time layering the paint and things seems to come out well. £18 of materials (and a lot of hours) took it from it's original form to being painted.

Colour popping in the sun:

Plasticote primer, metallic paint and laquer. All around £6 a tin and I used one of each. Think it looks pretty good for the money :)
