I'm quite enjoying this single speed malarkey so decided to go for a proper frame and bagged a Cotic Simple for a tidy sum. Seems this frame is the same as the Soul but with SS dropouts and disk tabs and therefore based around a fork of 100-140mm. I have a Bontrager Race X lite rigid fork already which is 440mm A-C so that equates to a 100mm fork yes ?
Seeing as this is at the low end of the recommended length for this frame it make make it a bit twitchy so I'm wondering can you get a 460mm rigid fork for 26" wheels ? I see a fair few Kona P2 forks going for decent money which are 460mm but these are apparently for 700C wheels - now I'm being thick - can I put a 26" wheel in there or is the hub width / disc tab height etc not right ? :?
