retro(ish) Orange 223 DD build

At least you know they are safe.

My mate has some 888's on his norco which are bouncy as hell but very nice none the less.

Yeah, they feel a little bouncy/undamped, not sure if the compression damping is working properly? Ah well, I'll see how I get on with them, and maybe crack them open if I have to.

Nice. Looks pretty slack. Can't help thinking a set of retro SID's would match that frame colour nicely and sharten it up a bit ;)

So I took it to Foel Gasnach yesterday for it's maiden voyage. The front end is pretty short, which felt weird, and the shock/gears need some work, but apart from that, it felt really good. after a few runs, I could feel myself getting faster as it seemed to give me a lot more confidence to get off the brakes, and from the go pro footage compared to my previous trips there, I was riding faster than before, which was good!

Anyway, after a clean today, I took some slightly better photos outside.

Looks better out of your room! Haha.

Why do you feel the front end is short? Do you mean a-c or cockpit?

If head angle, you can put the shock up a mount and raise the crown or are you thinking different fork?
