Temple Newsam Ride 17.3.2012

I spent a few hours in the sunlight yesterday getting the Fusion rebuilt.
New bottom bracket in (bit long really at 110, a RF Taperlite, they don't seem to go on as far on these for some reason)
New none cracking m900 LH crank arm on, even if it doesn't look as nice.

M900 bearings cleaned and greased up, XC Pro wheel dropped on as I cannot remember what I was using before and what I really want to use would mean filing the MAG stanchions down, new bearings fitted.

Brake cartridge blocks refitted, just need to find 2 metal retaining things. to keep them in.

Seat needs changing and cable need lubing up I think and find some pedals. Job should be a good one.

breakfast, on a saturday. what was i thinking to omit such a detail from the plan :oops:

right, don't stuff your faces as the chippy will be reached by 1pm ish. i would drop into mcd's(you literally pass it on way in) in colton retail park as you leave A1m at jnc 46. breakfast served til 10:30am failing that there isn't much within temple newsam that is breakfasty. or, bring some snacks etc..

My karma bring along list is a 16” GT Borrego frame, a good useable frame. A Zoom 1 1/8th stem, just missing the top cap, a 26” black Vuelta Gecko tyre in very good condition and a 7 (I think) speed cassette, its heavy but in very good condition. And a front wheel moden all black disc only job.

Just notices a sign up on the Keighley bypass this morning for a cycle jumble aireborough leisure center in Guiseley, I think it said 25 March, anyone anything about this?
 
I have a rear wheel that might be a decent match, I'll chuck it in :)

Any takers for a lift from Manc direction?

cool, will update roll call. timing is good as well, i read over-night showers are abound but clearing up quick by morning.

rear cruds may be a wise but non essential addition. damn my ghastly long legs! does anybody have a 19" team TI or extralite for karma? :)
 
I'll apologise in advance for my clicking bike , I've either got pedal problems or BB problems (127mm un71), will try to get it sorted though.
