the only thing i can think of is that the frame where the collar sits is slightly tapered.

Could be right. It is very shiny. Lucky have a USE clamp that is a much tighter fit. X fingers sorted.

Added 10 grams

Roughen it up with some coarse sanding paper. That might help.

Good idea. Why didn't i think of that  It's been through two clamps :x

can you post photo of the frame and clamp?

as ^^^ said, only way I can think that could happen is if the tube is worn to a taper so as you tighten the clamp, it wants to move to the smaller diameter part of the tube which would be towards the top.

is the seatpost of the correct diameter? that would cuase the tube to "collapse" causing it to taper inwards at the top.

A wider clamp may solve the problem. most unusual.

The first clamp i've binned as pissed me off. It was a 10 gram clamp. Replaced it with the Trimble original clamp. This moved.

My USE clamp works perfectly. Hope the problem has gone away?

The post fits perfectly. Will be getting a carbon this month.

Here are pictures.
Thanks
