Aaaahh, ya bastard, where's the mind-bleach?
Rob, a guy I used to work with had built a hardtail bike then he told me on the first long run with it he went down to a bike thing in Engerland. Let's just say all the way there and all the way back without suspension didn't do much for his arse-cheeks complexion. He showed me, ooher missus, the scars to prove it, not a pretty sight to behold.

Spent a while today on the exhaust mount on the BMW, as expected it's not the usuall hanger set up but a crossmember with two square mounts holding the exhaust up, mounts had collapsed and the exhaust was resting on the crossmember, as usuall the mounting nuts had rusted solid, unbolted the crossmember ok but had to hacksaw through the rubber mounts to get it off, then had to grind off the bolts on the exhaust, by the time i'd done that i could'nt be arsed grinding the same off the crossmember, so left it in bits on the drive :roll:
On a more positive note been really fired up with the Escort lately , nothing spectacular done, degreased engine bits, scraped more paint off the underside (prep for painting it body colour), ordered some bits from RallyDesign, just have a clearer vision and plan for the build, will still take a while but have a strategy now
