Ouch........Like carbon bike bits.........look here.........

"after incident with a car at 35mph my bike is in pieces an I have multiple broken bones as result"

As result of the frame breaking?Errr. I think the broken bones might have happened anyway!

This site seems to all be crash damage.....

But carbon seatposts have never been allowed on my bikes.

i remember jumping things on my carbon s-works fsr and carbon scale 30 and thinking, if id make it down alive.....its always on your mind.

I think that site has been linked a few times.

Have had Titanium based parts sheer, and countless failures with Aluminium.

The thing that makes me nervous of Carbon is damage.

The whole idea of a mountain bike, for me, is a resilient go anywhere bike.

Carbon needs too much care for my needs.

I throw bikes around, and tend to fall off things on them regularly.

Saying that I use it; sparingly!

This just shows carbon wont bend in a crash like my 88 MF did. The frame was still written off just didn't look like one of those.

I'd rather have a bent frame than a gouge in my thigh made from a shattered carbon top tube.

But yes most of these are from crashes that would make a mess of the rider whatever the bike.
