Nitanium frame? Rockhopper or Ritchey?

Hi all,

This spent a night in classic road section but I now wonder if its a converted Specialized (199?

I've been looking for a base for my commuter/roadie for a while on and off, and I've just picked this up, don't know a lot about it, It may be a 'Ritchey Road Logic Nitanium', or it may not be prob not tourer or Specialized. Possibly 10+ yr old if so. Trace titanium and stainless properties...? Sizes were an issue for me, I thought it would it would be shorter and more roadie racer like but the chain stays are about 435 long for clearance of big tyres/guards, takes MTB space hub, BB is slightly higher than Racer/Road, and looks as if it will take a 390ish fork, so some kind of tourer/cross machine,,,or MTB!? Weighs 5lb 6, quite reasonable.
Any more info? or pics of what it should look like built etc?

where are the brake mounts?!

Road calipers on bridge. This is what I'm thinking, I think they could have been carefully shaved off.

However, The thing makes me thing other wise is 435mm chain stays... hmm :?: :idea:

Thanks, I wasn't involved with bikes in 1998 but I too have concluded it's a 1998 Specialized, and as I don't need another MTB from an era I wasn't involved in, its for sale! Should be good proposition for someone, perfect for disc conversion.

Ah yeah, Nice, defo same characteristics - different colour. Plan was trekker bars and stuff. Did it ride well, a lot of comments online that they feel nice.
