Decent 30.0mm seatpost

I think you would find stripping a Thomson post a real PITA.

Super tough anodising and then the post is ribbed.

Wet and dry would risk making the post to small.

I spoke to Adrian about the sizing. I quoted Orange who shim the P7 seat tube frm 29.8 to 27.2. He went on to say that a shim didn't invalidate the warranty but it's about getting a shim with deep enough penetration into th ST.

I don't see there to be an issue. It's a premium frame get a premium post ;)

Silver and black posts can still be bought.

This is my worry. I am happy to try it if I get a Thomson for £16 but not if I am buying a new one at close to retail.

I agree.
As per my first post, show me a premium post in silver and I'll buy it. ;)

Did you have a look at this post, these come with a lifetime guarantee, are light and are top quality?

....i only polished to about 5mm into the frame, the rest inside the frame was left black and lightly greased just to be sure of a perfect fit. But to be honest I would have gone for a new one if I had £79.99 to spend rather than my £20 limit ;)

Import taxes and crap exchange rates put me off buying anything from America. :(

We are very sorry but there will be a slight delay with you order.

Unfortunately you ordered just as we were awaiting a restock, but we're still aiming to get the item to you soon: likely next week.

We apologise for the wait, do please get in touch if you have any questions.

Sounds more like a 'these posts are not in stock and since they don't make them anymore we have no chance of getting any' to me.

We will see, but perhaps the search continues. :x

Thats a real shame as i thought you had got lucky. Hate to say it mate, but I doubt if they can restock as its no longer made. :(
