omething old, new, borrowed and blue

Just an update on how my build is going.

Firstly thanks for the kind comments, really appreciated.

So far, Orange P7 frame, F7 forks and SK8 stem with XT M740 headset.
Powder coated blue and decals supplied by Gil/
Stopping being done by XT M734 canti's and X-lite Chicken Stix.
Going is XT, M735 rear, M735 front, M730 cranks and M737 pedals.
Flite Ti seat, copy USE post (needs stripping to silver),
Ti seat post binder, Maxxis (grey tyres) tyres.
Onza Clear Pawsipaws and Peace cable hangers to bling it up.

Will post finished pics this weekend, hopefully when finished. :D

I had the intention to do it as a budget build.

Paint strip, shot blast and powder coated through work, so saved money.
The brakes are off my old SS, (the hills around the north east can be killers)
Seat post is a USE copy.

ok, maybe not a minimal budget build but a low one anyway :LOL: :LOL:

cant wait for the weekend, out in Beamish woods for a tester. ;)
 
i'll be honest. I don't like the colour. the bare frame just didn't appeal.

the semi-finished pics turn it around though & I think grey rubber for a bit of contrast will make a massive difference, it is shaping up to be a very nice looking bike.

rides really nice, no fancy modern bounce or stopping but loads of fun. :cool:
