ROAD RIDE - 6th MAY

Looking at meeting in Portsmoth at 8.30-9am for the 2012 Isle of Wight Randonnee.

The event is organised by The Wayfarer Cycletouring Club.

Pre-registration for the 2012 Randonnee on Sunday 6th May is now open.

without meaning to sound like a complete judgemental twonk, just how 'leisurely' a pace would this ride likely to be undertaken?

It can be done at a pace I would call 'Very leisurley'

what im meaning is, is it very slow? as i'd like to see the course, but at around 15/18mph average.

If it's anything like the tester TGR and I did last weekend, it'll be fine. minus cake stops I did 35 miles in 2.5 hours - about 14 mph average

I'm more than up for this too..just have to get my slip from the boss.

The pace will be decided by the group on the day, no one will be left behind, but if you want to speed ahead thats fine its a public event on open roads.

Ah, a 14mph average sounds like a nice pace. I'll see if I can fit it in, would be a great test bed for my first retro roadie
