here it is - the frame and (permanent) UN72 BB have covered some 50,000 miles since new with the rear wheel not far behind...(well, obviously...).

Its my former commuting bike and it hasnt been ridden in anger since the summer.

qustion is - what to do with it? rebuild it? retro it? polish it & put it on the wall in retirement?

When new it was all XT with MAG 21s. The only thing I will never find is the Tioga Avenger GT branded front loading stem. Never seen one since...

Its a very fast bike and annoyed alot of roadies in its time...

Ho hum

1993 Zaskar! built in 1992 for the '93 season and sold to me by Mikes Bikes, Cambridge, in the October of 1993 when all of the '94 stuff was availble.

Original price was £1800, I got it for £1400 in the end of season sale.

the original decals fell off one very hot sunny day...these were direct from the US some 4 years ao.

thanks Kikaha! that was a really usefull link as it bought back great memories of mate's bikes aswell.

(I'd originally bought an RTS1 frame but swapped it back for the Zaskar)

Oh soooooo long ago.... :p
