Higher Price for Black Rock Shox - Why?

Surely that is discrimination?

What sort of paint is it that costs £ 50 more than the white? The amount of paint used on forks, for the same price you could get two tone flip paint.

Put a request into Fishers the distribution company to see what their take is? Could be just store discretion?...might be something linked to RS's pricepoint?
Seems wrong whichever way you look at it?...

maybe they have more white ones in stock and they want to help them through a little by offering them for less?

The balck ones use the same paint the USAF uses on the F-117 Nighthawk. It absorbes radar beams.
So you pay more now for the fork, and once you put it on the bike, you don't get anymore speeding tickets.

TBH, no idea why the black ones cost more. I guess it may have something to do with fashion indeed, or with the whole supply-and-demand thing. There's simply more people buying the black ones.

it's just the same as (different size but same model) Thomson seatposts being sold at different prices on CRC, supply and demand innit?

As mentioned it supply and demand.

You are thinking about buying the more expensive different colour forks. Why ?
It's just a colour why would it make a difference to you just get the cheaper forks.
See?

If people are willing to pay more for a different colour because they don't want the other colour then you discount the colour that is not selling to hopefully get people to buy them and get them out of the door.
