GT Hybrid. Probably not what you're thinking.

Spotted this interesting specimen on the library's bike rack yesterday. I don't remember this model at all. I'm guessing late 80s. Back when hybrid bikes were often marketed as "cross bikes".

20" wheels, Ashtabula double crankset, BMX bars/stem/fork. I gotta see if I can catch the owner some time and ask for a test drive.

Anyone remember these?

Rather dubious on this one, looks like one of those late 90s BSO/BMX that's been modified to take gears.

Look at the weld where there the rear triangle meets top tube.. not sure GT would have let that out the factory.

If so they sourced a GT toptube, as it has GT engraved on the rear cap.

I did find another pic of one, but it's a 24" wheeled model. Claimed to be a 1988 model:

No, cruisers run 110mm rear bmx hubs, and are 24" wheels

They look like 24 inch wheels based on how far back the ubrake is and the size of the rack, are they 26?

no they're no 26" ers TK 24's or maybe 20"ers

in the link lester posted theres a pic roll at the botton , there's a 26" wheeled non t/t timberline ,think LGF had one similar ,looks so nice
